HELLO??!! Somebody out there?? Helloooo?? *sighs* Same as usual... I'm sick and tired of this ZERO TRAFFIC that I have!As I was watching my blog stats, I realized that with this number of visits I have, I know there is something wrong with my blog, and that something is what I am trying to figure out until now. I believe that my content is not that bad, my template is not that ugly, and I have a chatroom, except no one is using it but me... But why do I have this very very low traffic? so low that I considered it as ZERO... a minimum of ZERO and a maximum of 10... that's it... no more no less..
I feel sad because I really love to know lots of people and make friends, share stories and insights... I love everything about blogging, but I guess the world of blogging doesn't like me.. I really hope not!
I thought that after finishing this blog, bloggers and everyone online will flood my blog... but I was wrong. It seems that there is somthing lacking... For these reasons, maybe it's time for change of plans... I planned to talk directly to every blogger whom I believe who can help me, and beg them to help me and give some advice... This is the only thing I can think of in order to save my blog from being evaporated...
If ever someone is reading this right now, I really need your help. Tell me what is wrong with this blog, and what is the best way I can do to raise my traffic even just a very small percent.Please feel free to leave your comment and suggestions.

Hey Jay, A site like yours will take time to develop. You should feature your own posts. Like Mariuca said, take the time to do a lot of commenting on blogs you like. It's the most important single thing you can do. Your site has to offer more than a forum. It must have posts, and you should participate in memes. Most forum type blogs come about because a blog outgrows plain commenting. Because you're starting as a forum style blog, you must have other content:)

Jay, I was once in your shoes... a blog with no traffic. You need to visit other pple's blog & leave comment so that pple know where you are & they could visit you again. Participate in those meme that pple tag you. You will slowly see traffic increasing abt a month later. I will link you from my blog & tag you on some meme so that I could direct some traffic over yours as well :)

Hello, I am a newbie as well with a blog of maybe 4 months.Lke you I am learning as I go along,I also had no visitors though it seems to increase slowly and is rarely an overnight thing.I agree with what all the previous commenters here have said,(and they are all wonderful bloggers that I am proud to call my friends)...visiting other blogs and commenting and getting to know others is one of the first steps to help increase visitors.Joining blog communities like BlogCatalog often also helps. It all takes time, but you should see a gradual increase of visitors, and also, you have a great looking blog, so I see no reason why visitors wont return. ! Good luck..I shall visit lots. :)

ReplyDeleteI think you've been given some good advice above, and I see you have also joined in the discussion area of Blog Catalog. That is actually how I wound up here.
Your blog looks pretty good. The music came on a bit loud, and it took me a while to find the player and adjust the volume or turn it off... you might want to place that higher up so it's easier to spot, so you don't annoy visitors by making them listen to it if they don't want to.
I liked your post about going to work and being motivated by the patients. That was interesting because it was REAL, it was YOU. Let's see more of that!
It seems redundant to have the big chat thing up top on your blog, and then to also have the smaller chat widget in your sidebar. Seems as if one would be enough.
Anyway, I wish you all the best- you've obviously got some creativity going for you, and that is a BIG plus!
As for traffic, try to relax, give it some time, and focus on making your blog the best it can be, and learning more about blogging in general. According to an article I just saw, there are over 150 million blogs out now... so, it can take some time for a new one to get noticed!
